The Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (AMOS) national Education and Outreach (E&O) Committee pursues multiple avenues of science engagement across multiple age ranges. The E&O committee is comprised of active and retired scientists and media experts who are committed to enhancing the understanding and enjoyment of weather, climate, ocean and atmosphere sciences.

Over the past few years, the E&O Committee have not only hosted the annual AMOS schools’ art competition, but also a weather video competition as part of National Science Week, public talks, development of a new AMOS award, and an E&O website upgrade. This talk will summarise the highlights of these activities, as well as outline future plans for the committee.
