The Northern Australia Climate Program (NACP) project aims to make significant improvements to seasonal, sub-seasonal and multi-year climate forecasting systems, with a focus on developing products that are useful to agricultural industries across Northern Australia.
In this poster we show how different representations of convection within the UK Met Office Unified Model impact on some of the key atmospheric drivers that affect rainfall variability over Northern Australia, and outline plans for future work.
